Chickens

I believe that poultry were not meant to live in little cages. Chickens are much healthier and happier when they can live the natural way, free ranging. They can scratch for bugs, eat grass, and sun themselves whenever they wish. I sell my eggs for $2 a dozen, and once you have tried farm fresh free range eggs you will never be able to go back to the store bought ones!
This year, I tried raising my own meat birds for the first time. While I did not enjoy butchering them, I feel good that they had better, happier lives than any birds you can buy in the store, and it is much healthier meat for my children. In the spring of 2011 I plan to get a lot more of the meat birds, and they will be raised free range as well. I am going to have them processed in a USDA approved facility, and I will have several available for sale. If you would like to reserve a few birds for your own family, please email me and let me know and I can add you to my list.
